At Rock of Salvation International Church, our ministries serve our congregation and the wider community with love, compassion, and purpose. Through various programs, we aim to inspire spiritual growth, foster fellowship, and make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families.

Rock of Salvation International Church Ministries

• Children’s Ministry

  It is designed to help and teach children how to live according to the Word of God while having fun simultaneously, fostering spiritual nurture for all ages and groups.

• Youth Ministry (Ages 15-39)

  Godly Individuals Focused on Eternal Destiny. It is designed to help & teach young people the meaning of eternal destiny through fellowships, prayer, trips, and rap sessions.

• Evangelical & Intercessory Prayer Ministry

  A band of believers who use the gift of intercessory prayer by praying in the Spirit to fight spiritual warfare within the ministry and community, interceding during all services.

• Deacon Ministry

  Designed to superintend the church’s property and facilities and primarily focus on serving the practical and spiritual needs of the congregation through acts of compassion, outreach to the community, and assisting the pastor in caring for the church members, particularly those facing challenges or difficulties; essentially acting as the “helping hands” of the church body, grounded in biblical principles of service and love and to provide a wholesome and hearty welcome to all persons who visit this congregation in worship.

• Usher Ministry

  The Usher Ministry serves as doorkeepers and custodians of worship and a dedicated group of volunteers within a church who are responsible for greeting visitors, assisting with seating, maintaining order during services, and generally creating a welcoming atmosphere for worshippers by ensuring the smooth running of the worship space; essentially acting as the “doorkeepers” of the church, often considered a key part of hospitality ministry.

• Music Ministry

  Music ministry is a service to God that involves leading a congregation in song and worship to support a sermon. It can also be a way for the church to express gratitude to God and encourage believers. Exhort, uplift, and encourage the congregation; teach and admonish one another with wisdom; express gratitude to God; allow believers to share their joy.

• Media Ministry

  Media ministry is a church ministry that uses technology and media to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  Goals of the Media Ministry:

  • Help the church communicate its message to the community and its members.
  • Provide a visual and auditory experience that enhances the worship service.
  • Create a welcoming environment conducive to learning.
  • Utilize a variety of technical infrastructure, including:
    • Sound and projection equipmen
    • Streaming cameras
    • Digital platforms
    • Websites
    • Social media
    • Online hosting services

• Men’s Ministry (Men of Integrity)

  MEN of INTEGRITY Men’s Ministry is dedicated to helping all men be the Godly men God has called them to be. Men’s Ministry is a program or event for men in a church community to help them grow in their faith, build relationships, and support each other. It can also occur in the community, such as at soup kitchens, drug rehabilitation centers, or as part of a veteran’s program.

• Men’s Ministry Activities:

  • Studying the Bible together and discussing how it applies to daily life.
  • Learning how faith can guide roles as husbands, fathers, and community leaders.
  • Building relationships and encouraging one another.
  • Participating in accountability groups.
  • Engaging in physical activities and nutrition education.

• Women’s Ministry

  The Department of Women’s Ministry is a religious community group or organization that supports women’s spiritual growth, leadership development, and community engagement. Women’s ministry programs often include studies, events, mentorship opportunities, and other activities that address women’s unique needs and perspectives. Women’s ministry aims to create an inclusive and empowering space for women in the faith community. It often draws on biblical examples of women and focuses on women’s unique spiritual journeys.

  • Help women take on active roles in the church and community.
  • Focus on scriptural teachings, personal development, and community service.

• Finance Ministry

  The church finance department manages its finances to support its mission and ministries. Its goal is to do so responsibly, efficiently, and sustainably while ensuring accountability and transparency.

  The church finance ministry includes a team of people, such as the pastor, the committee on finance, the financial secretary, the treasurer, the endowment committee, and the commission on stewardship.

• The Finance Committee is responsible for:

  • Creating the church’s yearly budget.
  • Monitoring and controlling how church funds are spent.
  • Training church leaders on managing their budgets and reading financial reporting statements.
  • Keeping church leaders informed about financial developments and maintaining a financial plan.
  • Maintaining a reserve fund for the church.
  • Setting aside a monthly amount for capital improvements.
  • Ensuring financial transparency with members, donors, and the public.

• Church Development Ministry

  A “church development ministry” is a dedicated focus within a church organization that aims to strategically grow the church community by increasing membership, expanding outreach, developing leadership, and implementing initiatives to foster spiritual development and engagement. Thus, the ministry works to make the church more substantial and impactful in its community.

  Seek new members through community engagement, faith sharing, and targeted outreach programs. Providing programs and resources to educate and nurture new believers in their Christian faith, helping them grow spiritually and identifying and training potential leaders within the congregation to take on greater responsibility and contribute to the church’s growth, and facilitating smaller, more intimate groups for deeper fellowship, study, and support among members and enhancing the worship experience to be more engaging and relevant for the congregation. Participating in local initiatives and addressing community needs to build positive relationships and influence.

• Social Ministry

  A church social ministry refers to organized efforts within a church community to actively serve people in need by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through actions like providing food, clothing, shelter, counseling, and advocacy. This essentially demonstrates Christian compassion and love for those considered “the least of these” within the community; it’s a way to put faith into action by serving others.

  This ministry primarily aims to help individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness, hunger, illness, or other hardships. Church social ministries can involve hands-on activities like running food banks, clothing drives, or soup kitchens, alongside advocating for social justice issues on a broader scale. The motivation behind social ministry is to live out the teachings of Jesus Christ by showing love and compassion to others.

• Transport Ministry

  A “church transport ministry” is a dedicated group within a church that provides transportation to members and non-members who may not have access to personal transportation, allowing them to attend church services and other church-related events, essentially acting to reach out to those who might otherwise not be able to attend due to transportation limitations.

  Key Points About a Church Transport Ministry:

  • Facilitates access to church services for individuals without personal transportation.
  • Arranges pick-up and drop-off services for church events, including Sunday worship, Bible studies, and special programs.
  • Primarily serves elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and those living far from the church.
  • Operated by volunteers who use church vehicles to transport people to and from church events, ensuring everyone can participate in church life.
